Little Angels Unaware
The Little Angels program seeks out terminally ill children from Southern California and helps turn their dreams of travel, learning, and exploration into realities.
Families with a terminally ill child need only to fill out the simple World Charities of America application and obtain a letter from the child’s primary care physician to become eligible for the Little Angels program.
Within one week of applying, the child and his/her family could be awarded $2,000 or more, up to $15,000 of funding and a team of dedicated, compassionate World Charities of America volunteers who will consider the child’s sincerest wishes as well as the family’s unique situation in planning an inspirational and unforgettable experience. This is very essential in helping the families cope with the eventual death of their child, and the good memories with pictures of that special event to hold onto.
Before any case is accepted into the Little Angels program, it is carefully reviewed first by a physician affiliated with World Charities of America and then by the World Charity of America awards committee.
If the medical records and physician’s letter demonstrate that the child is terminally ill, the application proceeds to the awards committee whose members must take into consideration available funds and the pool of applicants as they decide which families to invite into the Little Angels program.
As with the Angel’s Gift program, no cash is ever awarded directly to the families. Instead, the organizations providing the services are contacted and paid straight to the companies providing the goods and services related to the Angel’s Gift.
In addition, World Charities of America volunteers follow up every Angel’s Gift case to verify that the correct services were provided and received.
This website will soon devote a section to telling the stories of Little Angels and the difference we have been able to make in their lives.
